Rock Flower

Found this drawing in my move recently. I drew this in colored pencils in 1978. It represents an inclination to bloom and thrive regardless of having exposed roots clinging to angular faceted stone.

Perhaps this was my first Quan Yin, she is a mineral surfing Quan Yin.

Snail Queeney with Dragonfly wings...

OK... So, I am slow. It is a brain thing I may never heal from completely.

In effort to befriend this part of me, I came up with a mascot; a creature who is naturally slow with which I can relate. When I shared this with some writers friends that I had not resolved the discrepancy between my art signature mascot; a Dragon Fly – a creature who darts about – and one that is timid and calculatedly slow.
They suggested putting the wings on the snail queen Here she is, and she says "Hello".

Cherry's New Business card

Occasionally I dapple in graphic art in order to design a flyer or business card for myself or a few select friends whose need for graphic design lines up with the right astrological configuration and something lovely is produced. This is a card for my friend Cherry who sat with me to co-design this card. She is finally combining her knowledge and expertise in style, clothing, design, and her wisdom for helping other sort out their wardrobes to maximize enjoyment and wearing and having the clothes you love. No, I did not draw the image I bought it.
